CHANGE THE DIRECTION OF YOUR DESTINY
Build Confidence NOW
If you are anything like me, you have had dreams derailed; twist and turns unexpected, and the unforeseen seems almost unbearable. But life goes on, and there is still time to fulfill your Destiny.
Take the lessons from yesterday, be fully present in today, and plan your successful tomorrows… for the best is yet to come! What will you need for the journey, to fulfill your Destiny and leave a legacy of Purpose? It will take confidence, an unyielding belief in yourself, forgiveness, grace, gratitude and steadfastness in a Power that is Greater than your own.
How do you gain a level of healthy confidence that keeps you learning, growing and seeking for Your Higher Self, instead of a false ego that lives to please others, and to do what others think you should be doing with your life?
Here’s how… here we go! These are life lessons I learned on my own journey while re-inventing myself. Others told me it was stupid and impossible. I kept believing in myself when others did not, and trusting in my faith when things seemed hopeless. This is what I am still learning and hold true for me. It is not for everyone, you must do the thing that works for you.
Build Confidence and Live Courageously for a Life Time
1. This sounds so simple, but I was not doing it. Be grateful for what you already have. I was always striving to get to the next BIG thing. I was not enjoying what I already had, and what I had already achieved. Now I wake up every morning and before my feet hit the floor… I say what I am thankful for, breathe, healthy body, bills (that means I have a home to pay for, yea!), food, my dog, every simple blessing. Until you are grateful for what you already have you will not appreciate what you are about to get!
2. Mercy! Really forgive and let it go! We all have been hurt and gone through tough times. Mercy is an attitude of the heart. We want others to forgive us when we have wronged them, intentionally or unintentionally. But we hold onto wrongs that happened 20 years ago. Or we made a mistake in our own lives, and we cannot forgive ourselves. So we project that inability to forgive onto others. Forgive others and give mercy to yourself. Don’t take every tribulation, trial and tragedy into your tomorrows.
3. Fear will grip you, and not let you go! Until you learn to live courageously you will never be free to experience life to the fullness therein. You are like, WHAT? Until I did not really care how others thought I should live my life, and until I stop living up to this superficial image I had created for myself, I was not free to enjoy and live the life God had destined for me! I cannot always control the conditions or circumstances in my life, but I can fix my focus, have a finisher’s heart and keep my courage up despite any circumstance that comes my way! Will your circumstances deflate or inflate you?
4. Have a Champion’s Mind. How will you respond when adversity strikes? A champion chooses the response before it happens, a champion has a vision of victory, paves a winning path, creates habits that will keep you on track, understands that the only way through it, is to get through it. A champion faces the fear, does it anyway, and never gives up! What does the future of your life look like? What is in your heart? What is your game plan?
Practice these four core principles daily, build your confidence and live courageously for a lifetime.
